Chapter 17: Appendices

       Appendices A and B consist of sample Requirement and Wish Lists as discussed in Chapter 2, "Doing Your Homework." These can be used as is or modified per the customer’s own needs. Columns are included to quickly note whether or not certain options are available on the model home being considered, and to add up the prices of selected options. Such itemized pricing is the only way to realistically compare home prices and avoid being gouged. Appendix C compliments Chapter 13, "When Things Go Wrong." It lists the thirty-seven State Administrative Agencies (SAAs) to assist consumers with complaints regarding manufactured housing, and gives the contact information for the national HUD offices for consumers in those 13 states which have no SSAs. It also provides HUD’s description of the complaint process.
