Chapter 4: Illustration of Customization

        As the name indicates, this chapter illustrates the concept of customization in a concrete way. It also introduces floor plans to help the novice buyer learn how to interpret them and use them to show the dealer what features they want in their home. A sample floor plan is taken and then modified with fourteen changes that the consumer might want to make. Important options the potential customer needs to know about are introduced; for example, “wire and brace” and “flipping” floor plans. Being certain of what you want in your home, and being able to clearly communicate that to a dealership, is the best way to avoid needless misunderstandings down the road.
